DAY 1 | Fly to Washington, D.C.<br />

Get ready for the most comprehensive tour of<br />

Washington, D.C., you will find anywhere. You will be<br />

ready to take on all the sights after a good night’s rest.<br />

DAY 2 | U.S. Capitol Visitor Center and Capitol<br />

<strong>Tour</strong>/Library of Congress/Arlington National<br />

Welcome to our Nation’s Capital to celebrate spring.<br />

Your departure has been timed for the average mean<br />

blossom dates for the over 3,000 Yoshino Cherry Trees<br />

that bloom along the Tidal Basin. This morning visit the<br />

U. S. Capitol Visitor Center where you’ll see a film<br />

on the historical significance of our capitol followed<br />

by a guided tour. (Photo ID is required.) Also tour the<br />

beautiful Library of Congress with more than 650<br />

miles of bookshelves and 138 million books. While on<br />

Capitol Hill there’s a photo stop at the Supreme Court<br />

Building.<br />

This afternoon visit Arlington National Cemetery to<br />

include the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Changing<br />

of the Guard, John F. Kennedy’s eternal flame, the<br />

Space Shuttle Challenger Astronauts Memorial<br />

and more. This afternoon also provides a stop at the<br />

Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue). After<br />

dinner depart for an Illuminated Monument tour where<br />

you’ll see our nation’s memorials beautifully lit up at<br />

night, including the United States Air Force Memorial<br />

overlooking the Pentagon.<br />

DAY 3 | Tidal Basin Cherry Blossom Walk/Jefferson,<br />

Martin Luther King, Jr., FDR Memorials/Potomac<br />

River Lunch Cruise/White House Visitors Center/<br />

Museum of the Bible (B, L, D)<br />

Start your day with a stroll along the Tidal Basin to<br />

view the beautiful Japanese Cherry Trees (exact cherry<br />

blossom blooming is subject to nature and cannot be<br />

guaranteed). See the Jefferson, Martin Luther King, Jr.,<br />

and the FDR Memorials on your walk. Enjoy a relaxing<br />

cruise with lunch on the Potomac River for a different<br />

view of our nations capital.<br />

Also spend time at the new Museum of the Bible. This<br />

amazing state-of-the-art museum tells the compelling<br />

history of the Bible.<br />

DAY 4 | National WWII, Vietnam, Lincoln, Korean<br />

Memorials/Washington National Cathedral/<br />

Embassy Row/Mt. Vernon (B, D)<br />

This morning start the day at the National World War II,<br />

Vietnam, Korean, and Lincoln Memorials which honor<br />

those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to our country.<br />

Next, visit the Washington National Cathedral which<br />

stands taller than the Washington Monument and took<br />

over 83 years to build. Drive down Embassy Row and<br />

see the many countries represented. This afternoon<br />

visit Mount Vernon, George<br />

Washington’s estate. The<br />

new Ford Orientation Center<br />

and Museum offers visitors<br />

a chance to experience<br />

Washington’s life through<br />

movies and exhibits. Stroll<br />

the gardens of the 45-acre<br />

estate and take in the views<br />

of the Potomac River from the<br />

mansion’s piazza.<br />

DAY 5 | Pentagon Memorial/Smithsonian Institute<br />

of Choice/Fly Home (B)<br />

This morning visit the Pentagon Memorial dedicated to<br />

those who fell victim to the September 11, 2001 attack.<br />

You’ll have the morning and early afternoon to visit<br />

one of the many Smithsonian Museums located on<br />

the National Mall. Then it’s time to head home after a<br />

comprehensive and colorful trip to our nation’s capital.<br />

This afternoon stop for a photo-op at the White<br />

House and Visitors Center where you will see over 90<br />

artifacts from the White House collection along with a<br />

documentary, “White House: Reflections from Within”.<br />
