Malaysia Airports launches Skuad Ceria initiative<br />
at nursing home<br />

The patrons of the Al Ikhlas Old Folks Care and Treatment<br />
Home at Puchong received a pleasant surprise in the form of<br />
a new gazebo, gift hampers and food when Malaysia Airports'<br />
Skuad Ceria paid them a visit on August 17.<br />
Part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme<br />
to contribute to society and local communities within their<br />
operation grounds, Malaysia Airports' newly-launched Skuad<br />
Ceria members provided assistance and support to the senior<br />
citizens living at the home. The Squad comprises Malaysia<br />
Airports employees.<br />
During the visit, Malaysia Airports launched a gazebo named<br />
'Teratak Ceria Malaysia Airports' which is set to be in front of<br />
the home for the comfort and convenience of its residents<br />
to relax and enjoy. The event also witnessed a cake-cutting<br />
ceremony and gift hamper distribution from Malaysia Airports<br />
(Niaga) Sdn Bhd (Eraman). Thereafter, residents were treated to<br />
lunch provided by Sama-Sama Hotel KL International Airport.<br />
Malaysia Airports Managing Director, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali<br />
said, "Malaysia Airports will continue to be committed in<br />
carrying out various corporate social responsibility initiatives<br />
to uphold the company's position as a responsible entity for<br />
local communities surrounding our operation grounds. The<br />
Skuad Ceria volunteer programme was launched in the hope<br />
of raising awareness among Malaysia Airports employees on<br />
societal and local community awareness. "<br />
The home which is run by ex-nurse, Muji Sulaiman, has 37<br />
residents aged between 50 and 90 years and 16 employees.<br />
Muji said, "We are very grateful that Malaysia Airports made<br />
an effort to visit and contribute time and resources with the<br />
residents here."<br />
