Katy Woodcock: “Our comeback shows our massive spirit“

Katy Woodcock couldn’t speak high enough of
the spirit in the dressing room after Bradford
City’s comeback win over Fylde in the cup last
weekend.
The Bantams were 2-0 down going into the
final five minutes of the game, but goals from
substitutes Laura Elford and Ellie Olds took
the tie to extra time.
Elford then equalised to take the game to
penalties, after Fylde went 3-2 up, where
three saves from Nat Saunders allowed
Woodcock to win it in sudden death.
“When you're behind and there's so little of
the game left to play, the pressure is really
on,” said the defender.
“But I wasn't surprised at the come back
because throughout the second half we
looked threatening and we were creating
chance after chance.
“No one in the team lost the belief that we
could pull it back and I think that's why we
did.”
She continued: “I was buzzing to get the
winning goal and still am!
“I didn't really give myself time to get nervous.
“When we knew it was sudden death I
remember Jess [Graham] saying, "right girls
someone's got to step up now" and I just
started walking towards the goal.
“It wasn't my winning penalty, it was the
whole team's. We deserved to win that game
simply because of every single player's solid
