Linda Clifford has made her mark among the classic R&B
singers and also as a legendary disco diva. Electrifying audiences
with her music and widely celebrated performances, this
multi-talented and dynamic entertainer’s accomplishments are
vast.
TRIO Restaurant is celebrating their 8th Birthday and owner,
Tony Marchese would like for you all to come, see, and hear
Linda Clifford sing songs like, “If my friends could see me now?”.
It will be a night of fun celebration at TRIO.
Using her talent for numerous charitable causes, Linda has
raised over $1,000,000 the last time you performed for
them! You helped raise that , you know?
Linda: (laughter begins) You know , when I heard that I was
like...wow, that is so wonderful! But I think a lot of people in
Palm Springs and AAP helped make that happen…
Levvy: We are so happy to have you back in town!
Linda: I am so thrilled to be back! And I keep telling my husband
because he has never been to Palm Springs. I tell him
“honey you have to go!” So he will be coming with me.
Levvy: He will have a great experience
here in Palm Springs!
Linda: Yes. It is such a beautiful place
and has that hometown feel. The people
are so nice. It’s like a big family.
Levvy: Speaking of family, how
many children do you have?
performed at the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon,
The Ronald McDonald House Benefit with American Idol’s Clay
Aiken and Divas Simply Singing, which benefits the Angel Food
Network, delivering food for adults and children with AIDS/HIV.

I have interviewed Linda before and it is always a delight and a
memorable one at that! I literally danced the night away to her
music! Our conversation lasted about 30 minutes.
Levvy: Linda first I want to thank AAP, all of their supporters,
and you specifically, Linda. With your help and name, AAP
Linda: I have a boy and a girl. My
son has given me two beautiful
grandchildren. And my beautiful
daughter is in Los Angeles. We are
all spread out.
Levvy: I know how time can fly and loved ones live far
away. I have fond memories of sitting around with high
school friends and listening to your music while we all had so
much fun as teenagers. Your career started in 1972 and I can
remember all the fun TV shows you were in. I loved these
types of shows. This is what inspired me to be involved in the
music business on the video side of things. There you were on
‘American Bandstand’ , ‘Soul Train’ and on the Billboard at #1
and then the Grammys, where you received a coveted nomination.
The 70’s brought us disco . How did you blend your Blues and
Jazz to disco?
