SOFA TALK
GET TO KNOW CHARITY
WHAT IS A TYPICAL SCHEDULE OF YOUR DAY LIKE?
Wake up in the morning and do the 5 morning rituals
pray, brush, help my gang with breakfast and set them
off to school and then comes my exercise. After that I
have breakfast and off to work or set. Back home when
work is done. Some days it could be early some days it
could be late.
AS A BUDDING ACTRESS AND MODEL, WHAT ARE
THE CHALLENGES YOU FACE?
As an Actress, am not facing challenges personally;
however actors in Nollywood are facing challenges of
mediocrity resulting from various influence of culture,
lack of government support and complex of culture. By
culture, I am talking about how our African society’s
perception of women especially has even affected how
our stories are interpreted. Government in the developed
world support filmmaking but not here in Nigeria. Finally
our stories suffer complex and by this I mean that our
script writers instead of being original especially in our
stories render our African stories in a western way and
this makes our films to be neither here nor there.
WHICH NOLLYWOOD ACTORS HAVE YOU WORKED
WITH SO FAR? WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE AND WHO
DO YOU WISH TO WORK WITH IN THE FUTURE?
I have worked with quite a number of them
and a good number of them have also worked
for me.
I will just mention a few. Keneth Okonkwo,
Keneth Okolie, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Preach
Op Bassey, Ifeanyi Kalu, Wole Ojo, Ujams
Cybriel, Wale Ojo, Ken Erics, Chucks Chyks,
Nobert Young, Zack Orji , Daniel LLOYD,
Francis Duru, Tony Goodman Ezimmadu, Femi
Branch, Deyemi Okanlawon, Paul Sambo etc.
Ladies include Mercy Johnson, Easter Audu,
Lilian Esoro, Thelma Okodua, Tamara Eteiemo,
Empress Njamah, Tina Mbah etc.
I honestly look forward to working with all of
them again because they all have their unique
and special flavour and spice to creativity.
