MAKE EXERCISE A FUN EVENT
Most adults dread exercising. By
teaching your children the importance of
exercise and showing them that playing is a
great way to get fit and stay in shape, you can
help them enjoy exercise throughout their
adulthood. There are many options to help
your child get exercise, including gymnastics,
team sports, going for a swim or hiking.
Think of what motivates your child and
create options using those motivators.
Does your child like competition? If so,
create a backyard treasure hunt or enroll
them in team sports. For those that prefer
social interaction and adventure, opt for
a rafting trip or a hands-on museum. The
most important thing is to show your child
that movement is fun!
