MAKE USE OF THE MAXIMUS
130-HOUR RULE
The fitness journey more often than not
feels like an insurmountable mountain.
Here is a better perspective to keep in
mind: it just takes 130 hours. For a better
understanding, let’s break down the 130
hours you need to get in shape; train
hard for no more than an hour a day, five
days every week, for six months and you
will achieve your goal. Just lay down your
1-hour workout schedule, stick to it and
you are on course to achieving your goals.
HAVE BIG DREAMS
The adage “if you aim for the stars
you will land on the moon” is true when
it comes to getting fit. You should aim to
achieve big goals, and refrain from setting
easy to achieve goals.
Terry Fox epitomizes setting big dreams.
Fox was diagnosed with the rare cancer
osteosarcoma in 1977, which caused
amputation of one of his legs. However, in
an effort to spread cancer awareness and
raise funds for cancer research, he decided
to run across Canada, east to west in 1980.
With just one leg and a prosthetic leg, he
averaged a marathon every day for four
and half months (covering 3,339 miles)
and only stopped because his cancer had
spread. As such, you can rest assured that
there are no big dreams.
