Kirklees College has ranked alongside some of the country’s top<br />
universities when it comes to higher education teaching provision<br />
– gaining a silver in the Government’s Teaching Excellence<br />
Framework.<br />
The rankings are based on teaching quality, learning<br />
environment, and student outcomes and learning gain.<br />
Out of 295 institutions, including universities, colleges and<br />
other higher education providers nationwide, Kirklees College<br />
was one of 116 to get a silver rating.<br />
Kirklees College Assistant Principal for Higher Education, Craig<br />
Tupling, said: “We are delighted and very proud to achieve<br />
the TEF silver award, which is recognition of the exceptional<br />
experience our higher education students receive when they<br />
study at the college.<br />
“This rigorous assessment process has validated the quality of<br />
teaching and learning across our HE provision and in particular<br />
highlights the high grades our students achieve, which enables<br />
them to progress into employment or higher levels of study.”<br />
