Three of seven seats on the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District Board of Trustees in Texas were up for by-district general
election on November 7, 2017. All three incumbents filed for re-election. Position 5 incumbent John Ogletree Jr. and Position 7 incumbent
Bob Covey were unopposed in their re-election bids. Incumbent Don Ryan defeated challenger Natalie Blasingame for the Position 6 seat.
Overall, the election drew 11,145 votes for Position 5, 12,273 votes for Position 6 and 11,145 votes for Position 7. Early voting accounted
for 37.2, 36.4 and 37.4 percent of the ballots cast in each of the three respective races. Of 304,088 registered voters within CFISD, 4.43
percent cast ballots in the election.
The elected candidates to Positions 5, 6 and 7 will be sworn in during a special-called meeting prior to the December 11th
committee-to-the-whole meeting to serve four-year terms.
CYPRESS FALLS SKY DANCERS
HOLIDAY DANCE CLINIC
The Cypress Falls Sky Dancers are hosting
a fun Holiday Dance Clinic for boys and
girls age 3- high school. It will be held on
Saturday, December 9th at Cy Falls High
School from 9:30 AM-2 PM. There is a
show-off performance in the Auditorium
at 1:30 PM. The cost is $40 and includes
a Chick-fil-a lunch. For more information

LOBO BAND WINTER CONCERT
Lobo Band Winter Concert and Auctions to
be held December 12th-13th at Langham
Creek High School 17610 FM 529, Houston,
TX 77095 in Auditorium and Cafeteria.
Dinner and Auctions start at 5:30 PM and
performances run 6:30 PM-9 PM. Please
invite your family, friends and neighbors to
this fun event. Evening will include Concert
Music, Talent Show with performances by
Color Guard Squads, Facebook Live Auction,
Silent Auction and Dinner by Adriatic
Café. Dinner ($10 per plate) and Auctions
are fundraisers for Band and Color Guard.

LCHS THEATRE ENSEMBLE
LCHS is excited to present their second production
of the 2017-2018 season, performing their rendition
of the Broadway show “Orphans” by Lyle Kessler.
The play revolves around two brothers who only
have each other and their vacant hide out home in
north Philly. “Orphans” will show you a new kind
of meaning behind the importance of family in an
emotional, yet funny, experience.
Come accompany us on a night filled with laughter,
tears, a story that you won’t want to miss and
more importantly, will never forget. The show is
best for ages 13 and older.
The production will be December 7th, 8th and
9th at Langham Creek High School Auditorium,

for general admission and $15 for preferred
