ABOUT THE DEVELOPER<br />
Queenstown Views is Kevin Carlin’s fifth development in the South Island of New Zealand.<br />

Queenstown has evolved into an internationally recognized<br />
holiday destination with tourism statistic showing a consistent<br />
increase in yields in occupancy for accommodation and<br />
commercial businesses. The visitor numbers to Queenstown<br />
now exceeds 2 million per annum.<br />
CRITICAL SHORTAGE OF HOTEL<br />
ACCOMMODATION<br />
Queenstown has been the fastest growing hotel market in New<br />
Zealand over the past 12 months, with occupancy rate increasing<br />
7.4% year-on-year to 82.9% in the year ended September 2016.<br />
A massive increase in visitor arrivals over the last three years<br />
has caught many in the industry by surprise, leading to a critical<br />
shortage of hotel rooms in some of New Zealand’s leading<br />
tourism destinations. As a result, it is anticipated a number of<br />
markets particularly in Auckland and Queenstown will likely<br />
see existing hotel stock operate at close to full occupancy<br />
during upcoming peak period.<br />
Despite this strong demand, new hotel inventory remains low.<br />
Scarcity of suitable development sites, rising land prices and<br />
escalating building costs have contained the limited supply to<br />
this market in or near Queenstown CBD.<br />

guests is minimised. We note that many tourist accommodation<br />
facilities along Frankton Road and in Frankton have excessive<br />
aircraft noise. Queenstown Views is not in the flight path.<br />
