magnet instructor Vanessa Brown. The goal of the club is to create art to brighten the environment of individuals and communities. Projects include original greeting cards for military personnel, as well as the sick and elderly. Most recently, members completed the Windermere Christmas Mural. The mural project has become an annual tradition and is sponsored by Vintage Realty, a local business. n Et Al Holy Family Catholic School students and staff participated in the church’s annual Southwest Fall Fest, an event that has been part of the community’s fall tradition for more than 20 years. The four-day carnival and entertainment extravaganza raised thousands of dollars for Holy Family Catholic Church. Youngsters and adults of all ages enjoyed carnival rides, midway games and a large food court with dozens of choices. One highlight was the annual Raising the Dough drawing for more than $75,000 in prizes. The raffle, put on by HFCS, is one of the school’s two main fundraisers.
