Short Style
This is my client Veronica. Veronica wanted an edgy up style that did not consist of applying
excessive heat to her hair. She has recently received a shorter haircut, so wet styling was my best
styling option. To achieve the desired look, I began by shampooing and conditioning her hair with
the CHI Infra Wet Line. While the hair was damp I applied Super Hold Gel so that the style will
remain in its form while I continued. I then used a small tooth comb for control to form finger
waves. The remining hair shafts and ends were pin curled to base. The client then sat under the
dryer until the style was completely dry. Lastly the pin curls were loosened using my fingers to
keep a uniform curl.
Short Style
This was my lovely client from Star of Hope that was going to a family event. Her hair was
shampooed and conditioned with CHI Magnified Volume wet line because she had thinner
areas. I styled her finger waves using a small tooth comb and the CHI Infra Gel for
maximum control. Later, the finger waves were wrapped with a Sanek Strip to be held in
place. To proceed, blue rollers were used since the client has short hair, to give her defined
curls at the crown of her head. She sat under the dryer for 45 minutes to dry completely. I
removed the Sanek Strip and rollers, then used a wide tooth styling comb to give her curls
definition.
Short Style
This is my client Veronica. I used low elevation to blow dry her hair with a medium round
brush to maintain the weight in the structure of her hair cut. After shampooing and blowdrying
Veronica’s hair with the CHI Infra Wet line and the CHI Rocket Hair Dryer, I
applied a dime size amount of Biosilk Silk Therapy to add shine to her hair. I finished by
using the CHI G2 Iron to give the correct structure to her fringe.
Short Style
Vanessa has a pixie cut. Her hair has a low density, so it was shampooed using CHI
Magnified Volume wet line. I used Super Hold Gel and a small tooth comb for maximum
tension and control while forming the finger wave. To ensure the that the style holds, she
sat under the dryer until her hair was completely dry. Finally, the style was sprayed with
CHI Shine Infusion for a polished finished look.
Short Style
Barbara wanted a trendy look. To achieve this style, her hair was shampooed using CHI
Infra Shampoo and CHI Infra Treatment. Before blow drying with a small round brush,
CHI 44 Iron Guard was sprayed to protect the hair from the heat during thermal styling. I
used my CHI G2 Iron to create curls using a ribboning method. To finish, CHI Infra Texture
was sprayed to give a natural hold.
5

Medium Style
My client Knaki wanted her natural hair styled. I shampooed using CHI Deep Brilliance to
add moisture back into her hair. Then her hair was blow dried using the CHI Rocket Hair
Dryer on high and hot with a 9-row brush until it was completely dry. I then used the CHI
G2 Iron, on the coarse setting to ensure that the hair got as straight as possible. A small
amount of CHI Silk Infusion was added to every section to maintain shine and protect the
hair from the heat.
6

Medium Style
Valerie is going to be attending her sister’s wedding. Her up-do was styled
using Rock Hard Super Hold hairspray to ensure all hair stayed in place for
the design that sits on the back of her head. I used the CHI back combing
brush to create her hump at her hairline. The CHI G2 Iron was used to place
the ribbon curl at her sideburns.
7

Medium Style
Vanessa wanted a classic style for her era project. To ensure her hair
maintained its structure, I began by shampooing her hair with the CHI Ionic
Color Protect System wet line. I used Lotta Body Setting Lotion and a light
hold gel to style using Skip waves. Vanessa sat under the dryer until her hair
was completely dry. To add the finishing touches, I removed her hair pins and
formed her curls around the perimeter of her hairline to frame her face
correctly.
8

Medium Style
Sierra has a uniform 45-degree haircut that she only enjoys to wear straight. She also
rather not use excessive heat on her hair. To ensure that the customer was satisfied,
I shampooed her hair using CHI Nourish Intense wet line. I used the CHI Rocket
Hair Dryer on the Medium Setting with a vent brush to remove 80% of the moisture
out of her heir. Since her hair is shorter in the nape area, only a small rounded paddle
brush could be used to achieve straightness. Throughout the rest of her hair, a large
paddle brush was used to smooth her hair with the aid of CHI Silk Infusion to give
the hair shine.
9

Medium Style
This is my client Vanessa who wanted a finger wave up do style on her
medium length hair. Before performing a off-base marcel set using the CHI
Dura Marcel Curling iron, her hair was shampooed using CHI Infra Shampoo,
then followed with a thorough blow-dry. In the process of removing the single
prong clips from the marcel set, I continuously used Biosillk Finishing Spray
in the Natural Hold to allow the curls to drop without completely losing its
form. I listened to the hair and followed the natural falling position while
gathering the ends of the curl and using hair pins to give the finishing look to
the style.
Long Style
This is my mother Akalia. She loves movement in her hair, so I used CHI
Magnified Volume Wet Line to shampoo her hair. I proceeded by blow drying
using the CHI Rocket Hair Dryer with the comb nozzle due to her hair being
highly textured with a high density. Before continuing with a flat iron using
CHI G2 Iron on Medium setting, I applied a quarter size of Biosilk Silk
Therapy to protect her hair from the heat and to avoid a heavier product
weighing her hair down. A carbon medium tooth comb was used at the end to
shape the hair into its finished state.
11

Long Style
My client Rosa loves the color and body in her hair. To maintain that, I used
the CHI Royal Treatment Volume Shampoo and Conditioner to shampoo her
hair. I then lightly misted her hair with Keratin Mist to maintain the durability
of her hair and as a heat protectant. I finished off by using a large ceramic
round brush to bow dry the hair with medium elevation to activate the
movement in her layers. Infra Texture was later sprayed, and a wide tooth
styling comb was used to give shape and finished feathered look.
12

Long Style
This is my client Briana. Briana is participating in a beauty pageant, so she
needs her hair to be able to have versatility. Her hair had been shampooed a
day ago, so I used the CHI Rosehip Dry Shampoo to freshen up her hair. I
then used a marcel iron that was 1”, using the figure 8 method to give long
lasting tight curls. Each section that was curled was sprayed with Royal
Treatment Ultimate Control for volume, hold and shine. I took the clips out
of the marcel set then used a 3-row brush to flatten the crown area.
13

Long Style
This client loves a clean and uniform look. I used the CHI Enviro System from
start to finish. I began by shampooing her hair with the Enviro Silk Bath then
misting the hair with the Enviro straightening spray to not have to spray the
hair at the end of service. A large ceramic round brush was used to polish her
hair and feather the ends of her hair shaft.
14

Long Style
This is my client Jolie which wanted a classic look for her birthday. Her hair
was shampooed using the CHI Color Lock Preserve System wet line to keep
the blonde in her hair looking vibrant. I then used the Dura Chi Marcel Curling
Iron to marcel set her hair. I sprayed each section with CHI Magnified Volume
Finishing Spray to give volume to her thin hair strands. Once I was done with
the marcel set, a wide tooth styling comb was used to comb from the base of
the ends to loosen the curs to a wave.
15

Braided Style
My client’s hair was shampooed using the Royal Treatment Hydrating
Shampoo. It was later roller set with the red rollers to ensure maximum
volume. Once her hair was completely dry I did a comb out using a 3-row
bristle brush. I then used a tail comb to form the partings to do dutch braids
upward from her nape. I used the CHI Molding clay to lay her hair in the back
before pinning it into its style, ensuring that no bobby pins were visible. I
finished with CHI Helmet Head for an extra firm, fast drying hold.
16

Braided Style
This is my Client Malerie, who hair was shampooed using the CHI Infra wet
line. I then blow dried her hair using a large paddle brush and the CHI Rocket
Hair Dryer. Before flat ironing her hair with the G2 Flat Iron, I used CHI 44
Iron Guard as a heat protectant. CHI Twisted Fabric was used to maintain
control while braiding her hair and to give her a slick finished look. I lightly
applied pliable polish to give shine to the waves in her ponytail.
17

Braided Style
My client Statia is an artist. She wanted a trendy look for her photoshoot. I
shampooed her hair using CHI Infra wet line to maintain her hair texture. I
used the CHI G2 Iron to flat iron her hair with CHI Silk Infusion. Helmet
Head was used to flatten her sides and give hold to her braids and ponytail. I
used a small marcel to give a pigtail curl to the end of her ponytail.
18

Braided Style
My client Briana received a spiral set for tight curls. Her hair was
shampooed with CHI Color Lock wet line and set with Lotta body. A small
tooth comb was used for the parting to for her braids. I ran my fingers through
her curls once the rollers were removed to achieve maximum volume. To hold
the style, I used CHI Infra Texture to allow movement.
19

Braided Style
Gigi was shampooed using the CHI Nourish Intense wet line. Before
blow-drying her hair straight with the CHI Rocket Dryer, I coated
her hair with CHI Silk Infusion. I used a Denman brush to make sure
her hair got as straight as possible. CHI Matte Wax was used to give
a solid hold. I finished by lightly spraying CHI Helmet Head and
CHI Shine Infusion.
