Mission, Values & Vision Portland Stage is a hub of creative activity and energy known for our Mainstage Theater Productions, for creating and implementing vital Education Programs, both in-schools and in-house, and for cultivating new voices in theater through New Work Development initiatives that foster experimentation and artistic risk. We are committed to creating great art, passionate about using the theater to educate, and dedicated to enriching our community. Dear Friends, I am honored to introduce and share the Portland Stage 2016-17 Annual Report. In the pages that follow, we highlight several noteworthy accomplishments – goals reached as a direct result of your support and engagement with the work on our stages, in our schools, and throughout our community. Over the past year, our network of audiences, partner organizations, corporate sponsors, and generous individual supporters has steadily grown, and together, we have amplified the power of theater. As a leader in New England’s arts community, Portland Stage is committed to welcoming increasingly diverse audiences and to expanding our reach through our education and new work development programs. We strive to be inclusive, responsive, and relevant, and we are tremendously proud of the progress we have made towards achieving these goals throughout the 2016-17 season. 100% board participation in 2016-17 Annual Fund contributions!
