The 19th Annual Glam Awards<br />
This year’s Glam Awards celebrates its 19th year<br />
of sparkle and glamour honoring the very best<br />
of New York City’s nightlife. In a spectacular<br />
extravaganza, the nominees await their destiny,<br />
which will be unveiled on January 21, 2018. Year<br />
after year, founder and producer Cherry Jubilee<br />
creates a venue of appreciation for the talent and<br />
hard work of those involved in the best nightlife in<br />
the world.<br />
This year the hosts will be “RDR” alumni<br />
Peppermint and Thorgy Thor. Entertainers include<br />
Chris Weaver of this season of “The Voice” as well<br />
as popular queen Brita Filter. I spoke with the<br />
seemingly calm Cherry Jubilee, who awarded us a<br />
small preview of the evening.<br />
On behalf of <strong>Get</strong> <strong>Out</strong>! <strong>Magazine</strong>, we want to wish<br />
all of this year’s nominees the best of luck. We<br />
would also like to thank Cherry for years of very<br />
hard work putting this all together, and honoring<br />
all of New York City’s finest.<br />
What are you looking forward to<br />
most this year?<br />
Every year I look forward to the<br />
great energy of the evening,<br />
bringing all the best in NYC nightlife<br />
together to celebrate each other.<br />
It’s like a big family reunion. Also<br />
the amazing performances!<br />
Who are some of the performers<br />
that will headline this year at the<br />
awards?<br />
We have the super-talented, sixtime<br />
Glam Award nominee Brita<br />
Filter! Brita has turned out huge<br />
production numbers in the past<br />
and is promising us something epic<br />
this year. Newcomers to the Glam<br />
Awards are the fantastic Glam<br />
Award-nominated group Shirley<br />
House. They are bringing their highenergy<br />
best.
