Upon my death, won’t my children automatically inherit my
of estate planning unnecessary?
A: With or without a Last Will, in order for your assets to reach
your heirs or other beneficiaries, a probate court proceeding is
generally required to transfer your assets. An attorney must be
hired to petition the court to supervise disbursement of your
assets as directed by your Will or state law. To avoid probate you
should consider preparing a Revocable Living Trust to transfer
assets at your death.
Putting the hustle and bustle of the holidays aside, students at
Holy Family Catholic School demonstrated the true
meaning of Christmas this holiday season. Children in pre-K3
through eighth grade had their moments to shine in various
holiday programs performed for their classmates and
families. While some grades sang lighthearted Christmas
classics and were visited by Santa, others reenacted a living,
breathing nativity. The eighth grade’s annual Tableau,
performed by the class of 2018, was as touching as it was
beautiful. This annual tradition allows all who witness it a
moment to sit back and reflect on what the Advent season
really means. The staff at Holy Family Catholic School and
Holy Family Catholic Church hopes everyone had a
wonderful Christmas and wishes a Happy New Year to all!

In celebration of Palm Lake Elementary’s
30th anniversary, the community is
encouraged to be on the lookout for rocks in
Palm Lake Elementary is celebrating
its 30th anniversary this year. The
“school with a heart” was first established
in 1987 and continues to transform
and educate children. Throughout
the years, countless students and
families’ lives have been positively
impacted by teachers and staff who
strive to teach the whole child.
Administrators and teachers have
come and gone; however, four current
teachers among the original teachers
of Palm Lake Elementary still remain
at the school: Rosanne Monroe,
Karen Seward, Carol Anne
Warren and Linda Wolfe. To help
PLES celebrate its milestone, residents
should be on the lookout for rocks with
the engraving #PLE30Rock. If you find
one, use the hashtag on social media
and share it with your friends.
