More products, faster service<br />
Ferrymead’s popular Mitre 10 MEGA has expanded, with a<br />
spacious, new facility opening this week for its trade and DIY<br />
customers, and a new Landscaping Zone installed.<br />
Located right next door to the current drive-thru facility, the<br />
new outlet replaces the former Trade drive-thru, which has been<br />
closed so earthquake repairs can be undertaken. This will be<br />
reopened at a later date as a drive-thru and storage area.<br />
The culmination of almost four years’ work, which involved a<br />
complete fit-out to an existing building, the new 3200sqm premises<br />
and drive-thru facility is 50 per cent larger than the current drivethru,<br />
providing a much greater space for product display as well as<br />
easier and quicker access for tradespeople and DIY customers to<br />
purchase supplies.<br />
Trade manager John Barltrop says the new space also makes<br />
it easier for Mitre 10 team members to process orders efficiently<br />
during busy periods, while continuing to provide a high level of<br />
service for customers.<br />
The space features wide aisles with an extensive range of framing<br />
and finishing timbers, along with all the common wallboards and<br />
fixings.<br />
The other outstanding feature of Mitre 10 MEGA Ferrymead’s<br />
new site is the outdoor Timber Yard and Landscaping Zone,<br />
covering a further 7000sqm. This new area presents an extensive<br />
range of Landscaping supplies and incorporates 19 bulk bins,<br />
stocking a wide range of product including compost, lawn<br />
mix, bark, aggregates and decorative stone, giving professional<br />
landscapers and DIY customers plenty of options for their home<br />
and property improvement projects.<br />
Trailers are available free of charge to transport landscaping<br />
purchases.<br />
