Ellesmere’s routine was titled The Lake Te Waihora, which highlighted the lake’s ecosystem. They received the NZ Community Trust Award of Excellence for set, design and function. Darfield High School performed Voice the Roar on Wednesday night and won The Edge Award for Excellence of Soundtrack, Rata Foundation Award of Excellence for Costuming Character and Ministry of Education Award of Excellence for Student Achievement.
