LEARNING: A Waihora girls’ rugby team picked up some skills from the Black Ferns’ captain. The Waihora under-7 pink team spent two days during the school holidays learning from Black Ferns’ captain Kendra Cocksedge. During their training, the girls learned about tackling, scrummaging and line outs. They will put the skills to use in future games. MEETING THE BEE: Wilbee entertained children in Darfield last week. LEADER: Westpac Lincoln manager Nick Stanbury presented year 8 Springston School pupil Georgia Airey with a Sir Peter Blake Young Leader Award. She was nominated by her teachers for being a positive role model and always taking on challenges with a smile. Selwyn District Events Fund Want to be elected?
