Selwyn Times: August 09, 2016

10 Tuesday

10 Tuesday August 9 2016 SELWYN TIMES A Sensational Night out in Selwyn Over 300 Selwyn residents and businesses were treated to a spectacular evening at the 2016 Sensational Selwyn Awards held at the Lincoln Event Centre on Saturday the 30th of July. Congratulations to all the nominees, finalists, and winners of the nine categories. It was a pleasure to see everyone in attendance enthusiastically celebrating and recognising the successes of the outstanding contributors to the District. The fact that 54 nominations were received shows how sensational Selwyn is. Well-known local radio personality and MC for the evening, John Dunne’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the Selwyn District brought local flavour to the Awards. The evening’s atmosphere was enhanced with an elegant piano ensemble from Caelen Thomas, superb vocals and guitar solo from Alex Hardy and stimulating jazz music from e ngaro tatou. Attendees enjoyed a sumptuous menu created by Moveable Feasts featuring local produce and award winning Selwyn beverages. Congratulations to all of the 2016 Sensational Selwyn Awards nominees, finalists and winners. Special thanks also to this year’s judges, who added their impeccable experience and expertise to the difficult job of narrowing the already impressive nominees down to an inspiring selection of finalists and winners.
