Selwyn Gallery will show work
from Jo Ogier, Nicole Bourke
and Sandra Thomson. They all
express their art in different
ways and have unique focuses
for their pieces. The focus of
their work ranges from the
interpretation of viruses,
conservation issues and climate
change.

Lincoln High School Art
Exhibition
Wednesday-Sunday,
10am-4pm
This exhibition opens officially
to the public on Wednesday.
Liffey Gallery will be showing
art from the talented students
at Lincoln High School. The
students have conveyed their
art through different forms,
photography, charcoal drawings
and paint have all been used by
the students. This exhibition will
run for two weeks.

The Change Makers – New
Zealand dairy: Friend or foe?
Thursday, 5.30pm
The Change Markers are
presenting a series of free public
lectures and this week Professor
Grant Edwards will discuss the
dairy industry in New Zealand.
It will present an in-depth
look at dairy systems and their
impact on the economy and
environment. Doors open at
5.30pm and the event starts
at 6pm. There will be light
refreshments available before
and after the event.

Astronomy public open night
Friday, 7.30pm
Grab the opportunity to become
“Skyentists” for the night,
as you and your family enjoy
the wonders of the southern
night sky with local amateur
astronomers. See planets such as
Mars or Saturn or perhaps take
a closer look at the Moon. Learn
about our constellations, closest
stars, the galactic core and nebulae
in our universe.

HAVE A GO: The district council
is hosting its annual Have a Go
Day. It is the opportunity to try
out sports without buying all the
gear and getting a membership.
The free event starts at noon on
Sunday and there are more than
20 sports and recreational activities
to try throughout the day. Try your
hand at archery, tennis, volleyball,
fitness classes, baby gym, high
ropes course, wheel chair rugby,
pedalmania, bouncy castles,
walking and more while enjoying
live music. The event is held at
Rolleston Community Centre and
Reserve. ​
