Future doctors of Clearview
THREE Christchurch Hospital
doctors recently spent some time
educating Clearview Primary pupils
about medical care while on strike
over working hours.
The doctors took part in a ‘teddy
bear clinic’ with year 2 and 3 pupils.
The pupils were able to bring in
teddies from home to discuss any
problems with the doctors.
They went to a ‘broken bones’
clinic with Dr Andrew Curtis, a general
practice with Dr Emiline Galvin
and, if more drastic operations were
needed, Dr Tom Clarkson was the
local surgeon guiding the children
through a range of procedures on
their teddy bears.
The children created mysterious
illnesses and learnt how to splint
