BK GRAIN
BK Grain are specialists in grain handling, storage and milling equipment, as
well as providing a full design and build service for steel framed buildings,
in-house fabrication facilities and a fully qualified electrical division - NICEIC
accredited.
With projects ranging from servicing to breakdowns and electrical to new
machinery installations and complete greenfield site projects, BK Grain have
the experience and expertise to manage any agricultural, commercial or
industrial project.
With our strong in-house team, close links to steel frame suppliers and
35 years’ experience in the grain storage and handling industry, we are
well-placed to provide a fully self-sufficient service in all areas, from initial
consultancy and advice to full design, build and aftercare, including
ongoing electrical or mechanical service and maintenance with 24/7
emergency breakdown response.
There are two main drivers behind the service that BK Grain delivers to
each and every customer. The first is that we use our experience and design
expertise to work closely with our customers to deliver the best possible
solution. But we have also built our reputation on providing top quality
equipment and service that ensures our installations remain operational for
the longer term.
This is reflected in the fact that BK Grain has a Royal Warrant in recognition
of our work in installing grain stores at Windsor, originally awarded in 2007
and continually extended since then.
With all of our grain handling projects, we pride ourselves on the top
level planning and design support that can often contribute significantly
to the overall success of a scheme well before the first digger has even
arrived on site. A member of our planning and design team will discuss
your individual needs, such as increased storage or more efficient grain
handling and drying and will propose the most efficient and cost-effective
solution for your requirements. We will then produce full plans in line with
latest regulations and standards, liaise with the local council, commission
and project manage the building through to completion – a full end to end
service.
Some of the products and equipment we design and install include:
• Grain Storage
• Grain Dryers
• Storage Silos and Hoppers
• Ventilation Equipment
• Cleaners
• Mechanical Handling
• Weighing Equipment
We also provide equipment, spares and a repair service for damaged parts,
keeping many fast moving parts and second hand refurbished machinery in
stock all year round. This means we can often respond to emergency issues
quickly, ensuring that downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.
BK Buildings
Crop Stores
BK Grain have been synonymous with the
BK Grain can offer guidance on every aspect
from site location and groundworks options
to the choice of crop storage panels and
dryer specification to the size of the building
to meet your requirements. For example,
a large grain store building can be can be divided up to create separate
areas for drying and general -purpose storage that will enable the farm to
be flexible in its storage facilities. This also reduces the overall cost as it is
potentially combining two buildings into one. We can also help with your
planning application and offer a full ‘turnkey’, including all the electrical
work, that avoids you having to deal with several different contractors.
Livestock buildings
BK Grain are well known and respected for their expertise in grain
handling and storage but also have extensive experience in the design
and installation of steel framed livestock buildings that fit within the overall
landscape and often need to meet strict specifications from planning
authorities.
BK Buildings will ensure that all materials used will fulfil not only the
practical requirements of your farm but also enhance the appearance of the
structure so that it blends in with the surrounding countryside and therefore
has much less of an environmental impact.
When designing your new livestock building, the primary concern will
always be for the welfare and safety of your animals. Every detail will
be noted and taken into account from the ventilation and airflow to the
disposal of muck and the ease of use of the veterinary and stock handling
systems.
Our team will be ready and willing to assist you from your initial enquiry
right through to your finished building and are, of course, able to offer you
a full ‘turnkey’ service so that you only have one company to deal with for
everything from groundworks right up to the electrical installation.
