Unlocked vehicle stolen from Westley Road driveway
It was reported at 5:33
p.m. Jan. 15, an unknown
offender entered and stole
an unlocked Volkswagen
in the 500 block of Westley
Road.
The stolen vehicle had
its key fob left inside
of it.
treats of the day. From
there, attendees moved
freely from one activity to
the next.
Many guests seemed to
stop first at the face painting
booth. From full-face
tigers to dolphins and
flowers, guests enjoyed a
variety of fun face art.
The next stop was the
arts and crafts table, where
guests were equipped with
everything they needed to
let their winter wonderland
imagination run wild.
Glencoe mom Michele
Spatzek was looking for
something entertaining to
do with her kids over the
holiday weekend and decided
to venture out to the
Watts event.
“It is so fun and there
is so much for the kids to
do,” she said. “We did the
painting outside, which
was so fun and unique, and
now we are going to go
skate.”
Heading outside, visitors
found amusing carnival
games that easily
accommodated all ages.
The bean bag toss proved
to be a crowd favorite and
found both kids and adults
laughing in their attempts
to successfully complete
the tossing mission.
Still, ice took on a whole
new meaning when kids
and parents found themselves
using it as “the paper
to their paint.” Using
colorful paints, guests participated
in ice painting,
where they transformed
plain ice into a rainbow of
colors.
Wrapping up the outdoor
activities was an ice
sculpture demonstration.
The audience watched
intently as the sculptor
chipped away at the ice.
Soon, everyone was smiling
as the final product, an
8-foot snow man, was revealed.
In addition to the many
Goldstein said. “Then we
It was a fun time.”
