According to the Glenview Police Department, police received a complaint that someone was pulling on vehicle door handles while walking through a parking lot at approximately 2:22 p.m. on Jan. 15 in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue. When police responded to the location, they found Briscoe, who matched the profile provided by the witness, walking northbound along Milwaukee Avenue a few blocks from the scene. Investigators later viewed camera footage from a nearby business, which showed Briscoe rifling through multiple vehicles in the parking lot. Briscoe was charged at 4:51 p.m. on Jan. 16. In other police news: Jan. 18 • Jonathan D. Sosa, 28, of Des Plaines, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, two counts of disobeying a traffic control light, and Village ordinance citations for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis at 10:03 p.m. in the 2800 block of Golf Road. Jan. 16 • Antonio Witherspoon, 24, of Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and suspended registration (no insurance) at 10:31 p.m. in the 1000 block of Milwaukee Avenue. Jan. 15 • A bottle of nail polish was stolen from a shelf at 3:14 p.m. in the 1900 block of Tower Drive. The reported loss is $19. • A patron’s phone went missing after he/she left the device at a business at 5:58 p.m. in the 2100 block of Patriot Boulevard. The reported loss is $700. • Someone was at a business without permission at 7:19 p.m. in the 1000 block of Waukegan Road. Jan. 14 • Catherine DiSilvestro, 53, of Glenview, was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle and failure to report an accident at 10:59 p.m. in the 1900 block of Patriot Boulevard. • A resident’s credit card was used without permission to make fraudulent purchases at 1:49 p.m. Jan. 13 • Zlatan Pasic, 38, of Glenview, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol (revoked license), driving under the influence of alcohol, operating vehicle in violation of restricted driving permit, operating uninsured vehicle, improper lane use and a Lombard Police arrest warrant for telephone harassment at 12:59 p.m. in the 3200 block of Bellwood Lane. • Someone was in a business after being told to leave at 10:34 p.m. in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road. Jan. 12 • Richard Rinard, 54, of McHenry, was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to give aid or information, and improper lane usage at 12:40 p.m. in the 800 block of Milwaukee Avenue. • Joseph Weinbender, 51, of Palatine, was arrested at the Palatine Police Department at 11:57 a.m. on an active Glenview Bond Forfeiture Warrant. • Romero Chavez, 22, of Carpentersville, was arrested at the East Dundee Police Department at 4:57 p.m. on an active Glenview Bond Forfeiture Warrant. • Presley Racine, 21, of Des Plaines, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a BAC of .08 or more, improper lane usage and possession of cannabis (more than 10 grams) at 11:56 p.m. in the 1700 block of Greenwood Road. • A snow pusher was stolen from a trailer at 2:46 p.m. in the 2300 block of Capital Drive. The reported loss is more than $10,000. • A fraudulent driver’s license was used in an attempt to purchase liquor. Jan. 11 • A fraudulent application was submitted to the Social Security Administration using a resident’s personal information. • A resident received unwanted texts and emails at 4:31 p.m. • A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 7:45 p.m. in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue. The reported loss is $40. • Smoking products were stolen from a shelf at 11:17 p.m. in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. The reported loss is $13. Jan. 10 • Someone trespassed on a resident’s property at 1:12 p.m. in the 2200 block of Pinehurst Drive. • A cellphone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 3:15 p.m. in the 4500 block of West Lake Avenue. The reported loss is $200. • A customer refused to leave a business when asked at 6:52 p.m. in the 2100 block of Willow Road. • Jewelry was stolen from a house at 8:52 p.m. in the 900 block of Windsor Road. The reported loss is more than $2,000.
