In Memoriam Carol Ann Moore Carol Ann Moore, 75, of Orland Park, died on Jan. 7. She was born in Chicago on Jan. 3, 1943, to Leonard and Louise Moore. She dedicated her life to the Lord through service to others. She provided loving care to her parents, sisters, brothersin-law and friends during illnesses and at death. She taught elementary grades at St. Agnes School in Springfield, St. Michael School in Orland Park, and Lee R. Foster Elementary School in Oak Forest. At the third school, she also served as an assistant principal. She was a faithful member of St. Julie Billiart Church in Tinley Park, and of St. Columcille Church in Sullivan. A conversationalist, a host and a giver in so many ways, Carol blessed the lives of her beloved family and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elaine Kohler and Camille Korabik; brothers-in-law, Vernon Kohler and John Korabik; and nephew, Mark Kohler. She is survived by a nephew, Jeff (Maureen) Kohler; great-nieces, Emily, Kathleen (John), Clare (Sean) and Madeline; and great-great niece and nephew, Rachel and Timothy. She cherished her lifelong friendships with the Rev. John Sohm and Marge Del- Priore. Giving of herself completely, even in death, she requested that her body be given to the Gift of Hope and to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois. Memorials may be made to either of these organizations. A Memorial Mass was to be held at St. Julie Billiart. A second memorial service is to be celebrated in Sullivan at a future date. Peter Plante Peter A. Plante, 65, of Frankfort, died on Jan. 11. He was an amazing husband to his wife, Patty, and a great dad to his three sons, a fun loving brother to his three siblings and loving Papa to his seven grandchildren. Known as “Uncle Pete” to so many nieces and nephews, friends, and especially to the children at the school he worked at in the maintenance department, Plante was known for his loyalty, love of family and a crazy sense of humor. For most of hiss life he worked as a furniture technician, restoring and refinishing furniture and served at his church for over 30 years. Michael Patrick Corcoran Michael Patrick Corcoran, 42, died on Jan. 11. He was the father of Fallon and Colin Corcoran; son of John and Janis (nee Corcoran Parker) Corcoran; brother of John, Thomas (Melissa), Kelly (Josh) Anhalt, Brian, Shannon (Ryan) Stapleton and the late Jody and the late Kerri Corcoran; uncle of Kyla, Alexis, Hunter, Dillon, Noah, Mack, Christian, Declan, Jacob, London, Emery, Rylynn, Brookyn, Sebastian and Rory and Venice; and cousin, nephew and friend to many. Interment private. Karen Lannan Karen Ruth Lannan, nee Grafstrom, 64, of Tinley Park, died on Jan. 14. She was the wife of 43 years to Thomas R. Lannan; Lannan mother to Erica (John Ricker) Lannan, Rachel (Nicholas) Michelin, and Kaitlyn Lannan; grandmother to Elliot (Erica) and Lillian (Rachel); sister to Judith (James) Bonner and Leonard (Christine) Grafstrom; and fond aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. and funeral service at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Tinley Park. Private interment. Patricia Blasco (Eger) Patricia M. Blasco, nee Eger, 91, beloved wife for 57 years to the late George R. Blasco (2009), died on Jan. 15. She was the mother Blasco of Thomas (Virginia) Blasco M.D., Gerianne (Michael) Wilson, George (Gissell) Blasco, and Lorianne (Michael) Venice; grandmother of Steven (Hannah), Lauren (Justin), Alyssa, Michael, Kevin, Andrew, Amanda, Anthony, and Mia; great-grandmother of Thomas, Daniel, and Audrey; sister of Geraldine (Edward) Walsh; and aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Helen (Kolegas) Dolan Surrounded by her beautiful family and caregivers, Helen Kolegas Dolan, 83, died peacefully in her home on Jan. 16. She was the wife of the Dolan late James Robert Dolan, Sr (Ret CPD and Veteran U.S.M.C.). for 58 years; mother of Jeanne (Mark Grohovena, Ret CPD), James (Anne), Janet (Dolly), Martin, Mary (Dave) Howicz, and Christine Dolan Atkins; grandmother of James Dolan III (Lauren), Emily (Brian) Whalen, Andrew, Nicholas, and Sean Dolan, Garret and Elena Howicz, and John Robert Atkins; great grandmother of Eleanor, James Robert IV, and Olivia Dolan and Luke, Molly, and Morgan Whalen; sister-in-law of Mary Jean (deceased)and Jim Salach, Phil and Peg Graham, Michael and Maureen Lavin, Martin and Kim Dolan, Michael and Kathleen Dolan, and Nancy Dolan. She is survived by over 40 cherished nieces and nephews. Her parents, Andrew (Papou) and Aristea (Yiayia) Kolegas, and sister, Virginia Kolegas Kelly, preceded her in death. Dolan was a lifelong resident of Chicago and a graduate of Calumet High School. After raising her six children, Dolan worked for the Chicago Catholic newspaper. A fantastic cook, she enjoyed travel, long phone conversations, and lunch with the girls. She cherished every moment spent with her dear family. Internment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
