40 Tuesday June 27 2017 Latest Christchurch news at www. .kiwi SELWYN TIMES ADVERTORIAL South Point serves locals and destination shoppers Faringdon locals are enjoying the handiness of their very own shopping centre while others from further afield are popping in to check out Rolleston’s latest retail experience. With South Point almost three months old, the businesses located there are delighted with the response they have received. Many are now established with some extending their range of products and services on offer. The post shop at Faringdon Convenience Store and Post Shop is now fully operational with packages able to be picked up there. Next door, Hooked Fish & Chips is making its name as a traditional English chippie where you can get generous servings of delicious fish and chips, made from fresh fish purchased from the market each day. Diners and those popping in for a coffee have kept the staff at The Pedal Pusher extremely busy. It is still necessary to book, especially if dining on the weekend or in a group. Monday quiz nights will also be a fixture at The Pedal Pusher from 3 July so if you are a budding Mastermind, you might want to gather together a team and give them a call. The Selwyn School of Dance is now permanently based upstairs at South Point in their purpose built dance studio, with enrolments now open for term three. The boutique New Order Clothing and Accessories store has also been attracting men and women who have heard about their wonderful selection of well-known label garments and accessories. With shoes, wallets, belts and jewellery also available, you can dress yourself from head to toe in this one store. The professional hair groomers at Hair 4 Men a Barber Shop have brought their award winning, environmentally friendly practices to Faringdon. This old school barber shop, where blokes can get an old fashioned shave, naturally composts waste hair. Wriggly children are also sorted in the special seats that have steering wheels and DVDs that play while the lad’s hair is being cut. The affordable haircuts start at $12 for a child’s cut. A Pocket Full of Spices will soon be serving tasty Indian food for lunch, dinner or as a takeaway. The restaurant fit-out is well underway with its doors due to open by the end of June. South Point is a boutique destination shopping centre where you will find an intimate shopping experience and unique products and services. South Point is located at 55 Faringdon Boulevard in the Faringdon subdivision on the south side of Rolleston; accessed off Dynes Road (which runs between Goulds Road and Springston Rolleston Road).
