MILITARY EXERCISE<br />
<strong>24</strong> – 27 OCTOBER <strong>2017</strong><br />
The general public is to be advised that Royal<br />
New Zealand Air Force live fire training will<br />
be conducted in the West Melton Rifle Range<br />
area over the period <strong>24</strong> – 27 <strong>October</strong> <strong>2017</strong>.<br />
The exercise will involve recruit course<br />
personnel from RNZAF Base Woodbourne.<br />
Training will involve recruits carrying out<br />
night firing in the West Melton Rifle Range<br />
area from 8pm – 11pm on 25 or 26 <strong>October</strong><br />
<strong>2017</strong>.<br />
Live small arms rounds will be used.<br />

<strong>Selwyn</strong> District Plan –<br />
Plan Change 49<br />
Z & S Croft and J K Williams request to amend the land use zoning from Rural Inner<br />
Plains to Living 3 on the corner of Lincoln Tai Tapu and Hauschilds Roads, Tai Tapu.<br />
The request seeks to insert an Outline Development Plan and site specific rules to<br />
facilitate the development of approximately 16 rural residential sections.<br />
The <strong>Selwyn</strong> District Council has accepted the Commissioner’s<br />
Recommendation to approve, with amendments, Plan Change 49.<br />
The full text of these decisions can be read online at www.selwyn.govt.nz or,<br />
during working hours at the Council’s Rolleston Headquarters, or electronically<br />
at any <strong>Selwyn</strong> District Library or Service Centre. From the date of this notice<br />
The <strong>Selwyn</strong> District Plan is amended in accordance with these decisions.<br />
Anyone who made a submission on Plan Change 49 may appeal to the<br />
Environment Court against the Council’s decisions. Appeals must be in the<br />
prescribed form as set out in Form 7 to the Resource Management (Forms,<br />
Fees, and Procedure) Regulations 2003. Appeals must reach the Court within<br />
30 working days of receiving notice of the decision from the Council. A copy of<br />
any appeals must also be served on the Council.<br />

Notice of intention to take land for the provision of<br />
community buildings – Tai Tapu, <strong>Selwyn</strong> district<br />
NOTICE is hereby given that the <strong>Selwyn</strong> District Council proposes to take under the Public Works<br />
Act 1981 the land described in the Schedule to this notice (“Land”).<br />
The Land is required for the provision of Community Buildings. The intended taking is considered<br />
reasonably necessary:<br />
(a) to create a local purpose reserve to allow future provision of community buildings for general<br />
community wellbeing and enjoyment; and<br />
(b) to perfect ownership of the land and thereafter allow proper future administration of the land.<br />
The successors to the owners of the Land and those persons with a registered interest in it have<br />
been served with notice of the <strong>Selwyn</strong> District Council’s intention to take the Land and notified of<br />
their right to object.<br />
Any person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment<br />
Court, Level 1, District Court Building, 282 Durham Street, Christchurch 8013, New Zealand, or PO<br />
Box 2069, Christchurch, 8140 or DX: WX11113 Christchurch, within 20 working days after the date of<br />
publication of this notice.<br />
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing will be held with the right<br />
of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires and<br />
each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.<br />
