Entrance only £4.00. PENICUIK SILVER BAND At a recent Christmas event at which a pipe band were performing, I was falsely accused of stating that half the band were out of tune. What I clearly said was that half the band were in tune, a compliment indeed and well suited to this season of good will to all men. Meanwhile, our practice sessions have commenced,, Mondays and Thursdays ’twixt the hours of 7.15 and 9.15 p.m. at Mauricewood School, evenings to which are all welcome. PENICUIK CURLING CLUB When the curling season reached its mid-season festive break three teams were tied on equal points at the top of the Kettle League. It is nip and tuck between teams Anderson, Ramsay and Lambie, just as it has been all season, with Anderson holding a very slender advantage. It remains all to play for in the second half of the season, which re-starts on 5th January. The best way to find out about curling is to give a try. Edinburgh Curling Club runs regular Try Curling sessions at Murrayfield Curling Rink. All equipment is provided. If you want to find out more then do get in touch with our Secretary, Ken Hunter, on 01968 674893, or have a look at our web site, .
