Every day Michel Menna goes to work

with one thing in mind – to create a

superb culinary experience for guests.

It’s something that drives him to change the menu daily to make

his restaurant, Il Contadino, a destination for foodies everywhere.

Menna has taken old world charm to the max. The wine bottle-lined

interior of this cozy space is reserved for those who understand

that great food is a byproduct of the chef. And in this case

Menna takes his role quite seriously.

Just ask those who frequent this Pineapple Grove eatery every

week. “I eat here so often because the food is second to none. So

many people frequent Atlantic Avenue, but they’re missing the relaxed

atmosphere of Pineapple Grove, especially Il Contadino. They

have the best selection of wine on the Avenue. This is the best kept

secret, it’s a hidden treasure,” said Jim Benoit, who was dining with

his wife Brenda and friends Sandy Roth and Sandra Adda.

The Beniot party was feasting on homemade Chicken Cacciatore

with large chunks of potatoes, green pepper, onions and herbs with
