Induction v1

Welcome to the team! We

Welcome to the team! We have a clear vision — to empower the children and young people we support to develop and grow in their own unique and inspiring way. In order to achieve this, we recognise the importance of ensuring we have highly skilled and trained staff. Your induction is the first part of your Aurora training journey and this booklet will explain the induction programme. Empowering Uniqueness

Induction Overview We want to help you settle into your role as quickly and easily as possible. As part of this, your line manager will be spending time with you explaining your induction plan. It will be split into two parts — the first part will be mandatory training and the second part will be specific to your individual role. At certain points you will be asked to sign to say that you have understood our policies and procedures and have completed the relevant induction training. If you feel at any stage you do not understand or feel you are unable to sign off parts of your induction, please don’t keep it to yourself. Apprehensions are usually easily resolved so please raise this with your Induction/Line Manager. Buddy To help you with the induction training you may have a colleague supporting you as a 'buddy'. This will be someone who understands and/or has experience of your role and is able to show you the ropes! We'll let you know early on in the process if you have a buddy assigned to you. Your buddy is someone you can go to in your first few weeks and ask questions on anything from aspects of your job to where to get tea/coffee. Empowering Uniqueness
