Information BILLINGFORD MILL Scaffold has been erected to enable the brickwork and tracks at the top of the tower to be repaired. Once this has been completed, the next stop will be to replace the restored cap. A programme of events on the Common during Mill open days is being planned to include classic/vintage cars/vehicles, vintage tractors and engines, the annual harvest celebration plus our popular Teddy parachute day. We start our 2018 open days with an Easter egg hunt for under 15's, plus an adult treasure hunt, on Easter Monday. Mill opens midday, hunts from 2 p.m. Don't miss a visit to the Shepherd's Hut. J & H Websdell - 853967 Mill Custodians TOO MANY COOKS Too Many Cooks, the Harleston-based singing group that performs outside at Harleston's Street Markets and other events, is happy to welcome new members to its ranks. Currently about 12 singers, of varying levels of experience, meet under the direction of the excellent Janet Koralambe to learn old and new settings of traditional songs from different cultures. It is an informal and good-humoured group that has a lot of fun whilst also striving to create an enjoyable experience for our audience. The group meets on Friday evenings from 6.00 to 7.30pm at St John's Church, Harleston. If paid on a weekly basis the fee is £5, if paid in a 6-week or longer block that drops to £4. Next rehearsals will run from 16th February to end of April, with a break over Easter. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01379 855235 if you would like to find out more or register your interest in taking part. 13
