Dear Colleagues,
We're delighted to present the 2018 edition of The Source - the official directory of valued
COBIS Supporting Members offering goods, services and solutions to British international
schools. As you'll notice, we have more Supporting Members than ever before which means
more choice for you and your school in choosing the right commercial partner to fit your
needs. At COBIS, we're proud of our long history in introducing schools to education
suppliers and this publication is just one of the ways in which we make those introductions,
alongside online webinars, e-mail campaigns and the brand new COBIS blog. In the words
of our colleagues at the UK Department of International Trade (DIT); Education is GREAT,
Exporting is GREAT!
We hope that The Source 2018 is useful and beneficial to your school's operations!
Kind regards,
Colin Bell
COBIS CEO

The Centre for Evaluation & Monitoring (CEM)
at Durham University provides computeradaptive
standardised assessment and
monitoring systems for use with learners aged
between 3 and 19. The fundamental aim of our
work is to help improve teaching and learning by
giving educators information that informs or
validates their judgment about the abilities and
progress of their learners. In the early years
phase we provide measures of early reading
and maths, personal, social and emotional
development and motor development. In the
primary phase we provide diagnostic measures
of reading, maths and developed ability. For
secondary and post-16 we provide measures of
maths, vocab and non-verbal ability. We also
provide predictive and value added data for
(i)GCSE, A-Level, IB Diploma and vocational
