11. Care and Maintenance Work for Fittings (effective for ALL types of fittings) 1. Aside from regular cleaning, window and door fittings also require professional, systematic inspections and maintenance in order to guarantee serviceability and safety. Therefore we recommend having respective maintenance work conducted, KATZBECK will be happy to consult! Only use neutral cleaning and treatment agents that will not harm the corrosion protection of the fittings and also do not contain abrasives. 2. Fittings must never be painted over. 3. Grease all moving and respective locking parts regularly. Especially heavily stressed gliding areas (such as fall bevel, automatic tracer pins on front door locks as well as gliding parts of hidden fittings, etc.). Do not apply any lubes, rust dissolvers or silicone sprays, only use grease or technical Vaseline or adhesive lubricants with PTFE as spray, e.g. OKS 3751 or similar (Haberkorn Company, Art. No. 79937). Operate the fitting several times after application in order to distribute the lubricant. 4. Test any parts of fittings relevant to safety regularly to make sure they are tightly attached and check for wear and tear. Tighten mounting screws and exchange faulty components if necessary. Mandatory intervals of inspection and check ups: We expressly note that the BASIC PREREQUISITE for obtaining warranty is the compliance with and documentation of the intervals of inspection, check ups and maintenance stated below. We reserve the right to request submission of documentation of the intervals of inspection, check ups and maintenance performed in the event of claims. In the least, included therein should be the date, type of work conducted, name of person and/or company, and material applied. 12 KATZBECK-MANUAL
