Springmead Newsletter 17,

Springmead Newsletter No. 17 ~ 2017/18 Friday 2 nd February 2018 Dear Parents, We all had a wonderful time at King Edward’s School last Friday, taking part in the exciting recording project to end our Enrichment Week. Over the course of the week, all the classes had music lessons which focused on rehearsal and preparation for the recording itself, while learning about the way the recording software works and the importance of good recording etiquette. It’s fair to say, they did not let us down. Not only did the children demonstrate exceptional behaviour throughout the day, but they were also wholly engaged and focused. Our sound engineer, Tim, was astounded at the professionalism, talent and brilliant behaviour he witnessed from all the children. He does lots of recording work for schools and youth groups, and told us that he has never had a group of children who were as organised, focused and engaged. They were a real credit to us all and can’t wait to hear the finished tracks! A special thank you to Mrs Drury who, with her trademark enthusiasm, skill, talent and good humour made this whole exercise a joy. Little Things Magazin 1
