Friends Of Buckshaw Village Community Article On the 29th January Stagecoach restored the 109A service to run back along Old Worden Avenue which has been welcomed by residents. As a further development, work was already planned prior to this decision by Stagecoach to create a new bus stop on Village Way near to The Hub, as well as a pair of new bus stops on Ordnance Road outside Aldi. The costs of the new stops is covered by S106 developer funding which Chorley Borough Council have available for public transport infrastructure enhancements. It has been confirmed that a shelter will be installed on Village Way but, at the time of going to print, whether shelters are added at Ordnance Way was still to be finalised. Unfortunately until the new stop on Village Way is constructed and available, passengers will be required to use the stops currently available as there is no scope to safely place a temporary stop on Village Way. The construction will begin approximately 8-10 weeks after the monies have been released by Chorley Council. County Councillor Aidy Riggott Follow us on
