Friends Of Buckshaw

Friends Of Buckshaw Village Community Article Following my election back in May I have been in discussions with both Chorley Council and Lancashire County Council trying to establish if any work was outstanding around the Aldi / Costa / Dominos / Community Centre development, especially in relation to unfinished or missing crossing points. With the kind assistance of Chorley Council’s Planning Department, it was established that as part of the planning consents for these developments crossing improvements should have already been completed across both Buckshaw Avenue near to Dominos, and Ordnance Road near to Aldi, via a S278 agreement between Lancashire County Council (LCC) and the developers. Officers at LCC progressed these outstanding works and the developers completed the work a few weeks ago. I would like to thank those residents who raised concerns and have patiently waited for updates whilst I looked into this matter. Now the work appears to be complete I have asked LCC to check that the work meets the agreed standard and will press for improvements in any areas showing as not meeting this standard.
