Highland Springs High School, Highlander 1966 Yearbook
u n iiitn in . J l l l l l l l l l l l l l h TOYLAND ADDS SPARKLE TO CHRISTMAS Christmas was ushered in at Highland Springs by the annual Key Club Christmas Dance. The following week, the S.C.A. did its share in spreading seasonal joy by trim ming the traditional Christmas tree, under which baskets were placed containing food for distribution by the Christmas Mother. Decorations were sold at the Stocking Stuffer Sale by the art students. For this project, such articles as p a p ic mache angels, hand-painted soap, and I.B.M. card wreaths were made by the student artists. On the last day before vacation the music department presented a delightful program of Christmas music. When Cida thanked everyone for the many gifts she had received from each homeroom, Springers couldn't help feeling the warm glow of Christmas spirit. Christmas decorations and Christmas songs by "K ing James and the Royal K nights" help to fill slow dancing students with the holiday mood. G eorge Rowand and Bobby Smith begin the holiday season a t Springerville by pu tting up the tra d itio n a l Christmas tree. 108
