VT W ith the I.C.T. classroom as a backdrop, club members convene for pictorial recognition of their activities. I.C.T. CLUB SPONSORS SKATING PARTY President ............................ T. worker shouts, "Somebody .throw a pillow to Mr. Motley, quick!" A t their periodic meetings, the thirtyone members o f the Industrial C o­ operative Training Club, sponsored by Mr. W illiam M otley, enjoyed comparing their varied and interesting business experiences. Through reviewing their successes or failures in finding jobs as well as their laughs and problems in business situations, the members drew a stronger direction from their club's purpose. In addition to these club discussions, the members participated in various contests such as the D istrict I.C.T. Convention in February and the State I.C.T. Convention in March. The club's activities were not confined to the usual business program, fo r their most enthusiastic involvement fo r the year was their fund-raising plan. Posters, announcements, and other forms o f publicity made the projects— a paper drive, a bake sale, and a skating party— a fine success fo r the club. 84

Linda Throckmorton In May, members o f the Distributive Education Club attended a county-wide Employer and Employee Banquet. A t this final gathering, D. E. members with their sponsor, M r. James Farr, reflected on their activities of the year passed— -selling Springer decals as a fund raising project in the fall, participating in the Distributive Education Clubs o f Am erica Contest in March, and acquiring a charter for their club in A p ril when Frank Coon, Charles Powell, and Jimmy Cassidy represented Highland Springs' D.E. C lub at the jta te Leadership Convention. Mr. Farr assists W illiam Prince with the computation of the club's profits after its fall project of selling Springer decals. The members of the Distributive Education Club, who have, through participation in a learning program, exchanged ideas and acquired new skills in the field of business distribution, assemble in impressive number for their group picture. 85
