Our Mission and Vision
We believe that everyone will have the supplies they need,
where they need them and when they need them.
We meet humanitarian and reconstruction aid by
transforming logistics through technology, design and
engaging people in new ways. We make useful items where
they are needed to solve problems locally. We pass on
these skills to others through training and capacitybuilding.
We are pioneering innovative approaches to the
toughest challenges regardless of the sector. The impact of
this is dramatically improved efficiency making aid faster,
cheaper and better.

Leadership Message
Strategic Highlights
Our goals are to reduce
humanitarian suffering on a
large scale in the US and
globally. To do this, we use
partnerships that generate
knowledge, funding and
fulfills our vision. We aim to
maintain the capacity to
respond to multiple
emergencies each year. In
2017 we have significantly
increased our programs and
expanded the number of
countries we work in.
Our vision is to meet
humanitarian need by
transforming logistics
through technology,
innovative design and
engaging people in new
ways. This will be done
using 3D printers and other
rapid manufacturing devices
and methods. Our values
include respect for others
and adherence to
humanitarian principles, and
having a bias toward action,
learning, and using a lean
and agile approach.
Financial Highlights
In 2017, we continued to
demonstrate the ability to
raise and manage funds,
cultivate new partnerships
and grow our organization
placing us in a strong
position going forward. We
have undergone an audit
which demonstrated we are
in excellent financial
standing. This report is
found on Page X below.
Operating Highlights
We continued our work in
Nepal and Syria, and
expanded to the USVI,
Jordan, Iraq and Australia
and the Pacific Region. We
carried out a range of
making, training and
innovating activities in our
various country programs.

Looking Ahead
2017 will be a pivotal year
for Field Ready. We have big
plans and hope to be well
along our way by this time

logistics, employing

Field Ready Responders
In the aftermath of disaster’s, Field Ready can deploy a team of
experts in 72 hours to respond to an array of crisis. With experts in
fields such as engineering, making, humanitarian backgrounds this
culmination of expertise allows for rapid assessments to address
many different issues and develop unique ways to respond.
South Sudan: Deployment with Water for South Sudan
South Sudan is a country ravaged by conflict and instability. On an assessment
with WFSS, Field Ready made significant strides to locally manufacture critical
items such as parts necessary for drilling wells. Replacement parts were made
which enables WFSS to continue to drill wells in areas most-needed.
We trained others in our approach at a local makerspace in Juba, jHUB.

Hurricane Response in the US Virgin Islands
In September of 2017,
Hurricane Irma and Maria
ravaged the Caribbean and
caused extreme devastation to
the USVI.
Field Ready’s Emergency
Response Team launched a
response and partnered with
My Brother’s Workshop and
identified a key need; power.
The island had many broken
yet salvageable solar panels, so
we set out to repair them and
train others in doing so.
The impact of our
response drastically
increased electrification
on the island. Prior to our
response, people reported
that they had been
without power for a
month.

Field Ready: Awards
Field Ready won this award for a mold for
their cookstove burner production in postearthquake
Nepal
Eyad Janneh, Field Ready Rescue Tech Cocoordinator
was recognized by the
prestigious award for his life-saving work in
Syria.
