hard work and effort regarding our wedding at
Woodhill Hall.
From the first meeting with you any fears we had
about using an MC evaporated. Your commitment to
what you do and in ensuring you take care of the
day is fantastic. You listened to exactly what type of
wedding we wanted and tailored this perfectly, our
guests have all commented on how well the day went
and this was largely down to you. The extra ideas such
as “intros” and “Mr & Mrs” helped make the day and
really got everyone involved.
We can’t really recommend you any higher than we
do, please feel free to share these comments as we
genuinely feel more people should be aware that with
you it’s not just a DJ you’re getting. It’s a service which
we now could not imagine our wedding without, we
could relax (as much as possible) and enjoy the day

Ceremony
Your Wedding Ceremony is such an important part of
the day. After all, it is why everyone’s there! The perfect
music, properly prepared and played at the correct
volume is so important to create a fantastic atmosphere.
Many couples give little thought to the quality of the
music played at their Ceremony. For the small amount

in and out for maximum effect and plays at a volume

My style as a Master of Ceremonies is relaxed, friendly
and humorous. I don’t do the ‘Man in the Red Coat’ style.
Ways to maintain a fantastic atmosphere with happy,
involved guests include: Personalised Introduction, Pearls
of Wisdom, Living Guestbook and fun games such as Mr &
Mrs! You could even provide a prize for a quiz of ‘You Know
Us So Well’.
All of this alongside great music, including as few or as
many of your own choices as you like, ensuring that
everything is perfect for you.

Evening
It’s so important to choose great entertainment for your
evening function! As the longest part of your day, often
with the largest number of guests it is no wonder people
remember the entertainment far more than most parts
of the day.
Despite this, many couples budget less for the evening
entertainment than on other services. Ensure that your
Evening function is memorable for the right reasons!
A great DJ will help everything run smoothly and ensure
your guests are informed and entertained. With intelligent
timeline planning and effective presentation of Spotlight
Moments such as Cutting the Cake, First Dance, Tossing
the Bouquet and the vital End of Night Celebrations I
help the night to flow well. Along with great music this
generally leads to a night of fun, laughter, dancing and
a lot of memories!
One of a DJ’s greatest skills is the ability to read a
crowd, to go with the flow and allow the atmosphere to
develop. It can be difficult here for a Couple to balance
their own music choices alongside their responsibility
as Hosts to give their guests a great time. I work with
my couples to help provide a night which entertains all
of their guests whilst still including songs and genres
the couple want and avoiding those they dislike.

Moodlighting
Moodlighting is the most popular upgrade for wedding
décor. Rather than using a tape measure, I creatively
light a room for its features, spaces and highlights. It
looks incredible and can help match the room into your
colour theme.
I have been providing Uplighting for over 10 years,
my work has been featured in magazines and is widely
considered amongst the very best. In fact Alan Marshall,
Chairman of the National Association of DJs, once
commented “Looking at photos of Colin’s work is like
taking a Masterclass in Uplighting”.

In asking Colin to help with our wedding planning,
he gave us so much helpful advice on how we could
develop the format of our day and use a range of music
choices, his master of ceremony skills and personality to
enhance and make each part really memorable.
Colin’s contribution helped us be more confident in planning
the wedding ‘our way’ to ensure it really was as personal as
it could be, involving humour, nostalgia and so many personal
touches throughout our day that it ended up feeling totally
perfect. We wanted to have, what we described when we met as
an ‘informal but formal’ feel which would use the best of Crook
Hall and its beautiful gardens during the day and ensure we had a
cracking party in the evening.
Leading up to the wedding Colin helped us develop and deliver a
fantastic play list and on the day managed our music so professionally
as well as providing a Master of Ceremonies role.
I had not appreciated how much Colin was going to help ‘glue’ the
different parts of our day together in his Master of Ceremonies role
– His contribution made a huge difference to the flow of the day from
chatting to guests on arrival, helping with our amazing marryoke,
doing a personal introduction about us to our guests ahead of dinner,
reading out comments on our postcards, dealing with the cake
cutting and even ensuring our dressing up box got maximum usage at
the evening party – alongside effortlessly delivering the music – this
left us to enjoy every minute of our day.
Colin is a total professional and listened to what we as the Bride and
Groom wanted our wedding to feel like, and his vast experience
helped us achieve exactly what we wanted.
