The Gandhi ashram in central Candidasa (about a 10 minute walk from Villa Cocoa Maya) has a magnificent
position directly next to the ocean and behind the famous lotus pond. Their classes are led by either Balinese
teachers, or international ones who come for extended residential retreats at the ashram. There's nothing
pretentious about the place or the practice - it's just great yoga with experienced teachers in a breathtaking
location (complete with cows eating grass in the garden) - it doesn't get more authentic than this! Because it's
an ashram, payment is an amount of your choice, by donation.
