At the time I'd never even heard of De Kelders so I was more
than a bit skeptical at the thought! We flew down to take a
look and - as they say in the classics - the rest is history!

I instantly fell in love with De Kelders and the Overberg.
Because we bought early we were able to buy the
apartment with the largest balcony, and the best views of
the whales and the mountains.
There's nothing I love better than spending time in De
Kelders. I cherish the sunsets from the balcony, the sheer
magnificence of the surroundings and, clearly, the whales in
season! Yet, sadly, one of the tragedies of life is that one
can't holiday year round(!), so we also rent out The Lookout
at Whale Cove to guests.
We've had wonderful feedback from our guests over the
years (you can read our TripAdvisor reviews on this page).
And we love that many of them view The Lookout as their
home-from-home (nearly 50% are returning guests).
We've developed a bit of a bug for vacation rentals so we've
also bought three villas in Bali: Villa Bebek in Seminyak, Villa
Sagitta in Ubud and Villa Cocoa Maya in Candidasa.
Together with our family's villa at San Lameer we now run
the five properties as Global Villas Ltd.
