Harry Finds a Ring
Practice 12
Harry and Mom were playing catch in front
of their house. Mom threw the football to Harry
with a big grin. Then, she looked at her hand and
yelled, “Oh, no! My ring is missing!”
Harry ran to help. “How does it look?” he asked.
“It’s silver, with a blue stone”, Mom said. She
looked sad.
Harry looked at the grass. The ring could be
anywhere! He bent down to look for it. He picked
up rocks and moved bunches of grass to the side.
After a long while, Harry saw something shiny on
the ground. “It’s your ring!” he shouted. Mom
was so happy!
