Writing into the Dark to the Light
Davyne Verstandig
Joan Didion once wrote “Grief, when it comes, is nothing like we expect it to be.” Nothing
really is as we expect it to be – not the light, nor the dark. By writing into our dark places, our
difficult places, we will then emerge into the light with new understanding of the dark and the
difficult as being gifts as much as anything else. Writers of all genres are welcome.
Fees: See page 10 | Program # DV 2-911
Saturday, February 10, 2018 | 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
Gabriele Davis
Ease into a place of quiet connection as you reflect on and release activities of the past year.
Embrace your future with hope, clarity, focus and a feeling of expansiveness and generosity.
The Spirituality of Teilhard de Chardin – Session 2
Sally Campbell Woodhall
Teilhard de Chardin’s mysticism is one of action in and through the world. It calls us to a
covenant with God and creation. As a scientist, his mysticism encompasses the Cosmic, the
Human, and the Christic dimensions of life. Teilhard’s legacy is clearly present in the spirituality
of ecology and interfaith dialogue. He offers us a new and creative way of understanding our
roles as contemplative and participatory members of the earth community.
