There still is evidence of some Couch Mite activity in the fairways and primary rough so further spraying will be necessary. The drainage lines on the 7th fairway will be topdressed next week with the same material that was installed in the trenches around the “Megaflo”. Other Tasks • 18th Path; apply a thin layer of Dolomite Rubble/Sand to the new 18th path and compact. • Install 100mm PVC pipe under the 15th fairway from Bore no. 4 • Continue edging bunkers and adding/moving sand(ongoing). • Clover control in greens and green’s surrounds(ongoing). • Poison ash and olive trees • Repair pavers in BBQ area • Tree pruning 7th, 11th and 12th fairways • Remove bushes adjacent 1st and 10th tees The list goes on ……………………. In closing for 2017, again I would like to express my personal thanks to the work put in by our course staff under often challenging conditions. Thanks Ivan and “the Boys”. To our energetic group of volunteers – the course wouldn’t look the same without your regular input and passion. And to those of you who give of your time regularly, outside of the programmed working bees, many thanks. Xmas is a time to celebrate. Do it with pleasure and purpose. Merry Xmas to all. Paul Traeger. Women’s Golf Julie Crosby Weather has been a bit up and down for us over the last few weeks and I’m sure this must be a headache for our Match Committee. Our mystery draw played in late November was a great opportunity for many to play with a different playing group. I think the reason that our friendships are so strong at the club is that we can play with different girls on a weekly basis. Our Christmas Champagne Breakfast and luncheon was once again a great success. Many thanks to our President Lyn Williams, Vicki Bell our Vice-President and the help of our social girls in providing our yummy breakfast. The time and effort you have all put in is very much appreciated.
It was a sea of colour when we hit the golf course with the many colourful Christmas themed costumes being worn by our girls. Our thanks to Rod and staff for all their help on the day. On behalf of all women members we wish you all a very happy, healthy and safe festive season and look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year. Junior Report Michael Haberfield
