Musa ready for Europa League action today It is all but confirmed that Leicester City loanee, Ahmed Musa will make his second competitive debut for CSKA Moscow in their Europa League meeting with Red Star Belgrade today. The Super Eagles forward can participate in that game scheduled to hold at Stadion Rajko Miti (Beograd) as he has been registered for the competition and named in the Army Men’s provisional roster. Musa and 19 other players flew to the Serbian capital yesterday but manager Viktor Gancharenko has not selected Super Eagles teammate, Aaron Samuel. Samuel is in Turkey training with Amkar Perm, with a view to inking a fourmonth loan deal before the end of the winter transfer market in Russia. •Musa Premier League Golden Boot: KANE, AGUERO, SALAH IN HOT RACE With Manchester City steam-rolling their way to success, the race for the Premier League title is all but over this season. However, the race for the Golden Boot is only just hotting up. Tottenham’s talisman Harry Kane currently tops the leader board with 23 goals but the form of Sergio Aguero and Mohamed Salah have brought them both back into contention for the end of season accolade. With 11 games left of the season, the trio are all way ahead of their nearest rivals. 1st. Harry Kane- 23 goals While pundits are running out of superlatives to describe the Tottenham star’s rise from relative obscurity, Kane is finding new ways to find the back of the net. The England striker is gunning for his third successive Golden Boot award this season and is currently leading the way on 23. What makes him so frightening is his ability to score with almost any part of his body and the way in which the ball tends to gravitate towards him in the opposition box. The 24-year-old has scored nine goals off both his left and right foot this season and his goal to win the North London derby on Saturday was the fifth from his head. •Kane aulo Dybala trained Pwith his Juventus team-mates yesterday and it’s reported Rodrigo Conte: I’m a disaster ntonio Conte has Aadmitted to being “a disaster” when it comes to persuading Chelsea to sign players. The Italian was regularly outspoken in his criticism of Chelsea’s transfer policy during the recent January window and has suggested that he does not have much say on who the club sign. Asked if he thought 2nd. Mohamed Salah- 22 goals Deemed not good enough by Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, Salah has returned to the Premier League with a point to prove... and my word is he is doing it. The Egyptian has been a revelation at Liverpool, forming a deadly partnership with Roberto Firmino and threatening to steal Kane’s scoring crown. It’s important to remember that Salah is not an out-and-out forward. Instead, the 25-year-old has usually been deployed on the right of a front three, a role which (in theory) does come with defensive responsibilities. However, Salah is playing under Jurgen Klopp and the German boss is more than happy for the diminutive magician to save his energy for ripping opposition defences apart. •Salah Champions League: Juve to unleash Dybala, Higuain on Tottenham Bentancur could start against Tottenham Hotspur tonight. The Bianconeri are preparing for the first leg of Chelsea’s current squad could be improved, Conte said: “I don’t know. Usually in my experience, I reached the best results possible with the players I have to work with. “I think that I’m the type of coach who if I have a player who is 6/10, I bring him to an 8/10. If I have a player who is 8/10, I take him to 10/ 10. I’m this type of coach. 3rd. Sergio Aguero- 21 goals The fact that Aguero has never been included in a PFA Team of the Year is not only astonishing, but also a demonstration of how undervalued the player is. Not that such a snub would ever bother the seemingly humble and unassuming goal-scoring machine however. Over the seven seasons he has spent with Manchester City, Aguero has become one of the greatest Premier League strikers in history. And, courtesy of the four goals against Leicester on Saturday, he is now back in contention for a second Golden Boot. While many have been touting this season’s battle for the award as a two-horse race between Kane and Salah, Aguero has been quietly going about his business and is now just one goal behind the Liverpool man. • Aguero their Champions League Last 16 tie, and La Joya has been out with a hamstring injury. There has been speculation he could be back on the bench tonight and Dybala trained with his teammates at Vinovo yesterday. Benedikt Howedes also took part in some of the session as he continues his recovery from a muscular injury. According to TuttoJuve, Uruguayan midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur could start, with Blaise Matuidi out injured. “My task is this and, for this, I’m very good. But I think I’m a bit of a disaster to convince the club to buy players. I think in this aspect I can improve a lot. “I have to learn a lot from the other coaches, the other managers, in that aspect. I have to speak more with the managers who are very, very good at persuading their clubs to spend money to buy top players.” NFF names coaches for various National Teams The Nigeria Football Federation on Monday released the names of coaching crews of all the National Teams, except those of the Senior Men Team (Super Eagles), U-20 Women (Falconets) and U-17 Women (Flamingos) whose contracts are running. Adeagbo will have another chance for a medal in the women heat on Friday. Her compatriots in the bobsled event...Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga will file out on Thursday. Other highlights of the day saw as North Korea’s band of all-female supporters was unable to inspire the historic joint Korean women’s ice hockey team as they were dumped out of the Pyeongchang Olympics with an 8-0 defeat to Sweden on Monday. The unified team for the Winter Games in South Korea was the product of a landmark deal between the South and North Korea — the neighbours still technically at war — after a year of high tensions over Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile tests.
