The cover photo this month comes from
as local as it gets. Riley made a sticker
that says “Local As It Gets” as a joke in
response to people constantly asking
if he was a local or where he was from
while bartending over the years at Lone
Cedar. He decided to take the sticker
idea and make a clothing
company from that. Him and his
girlfriend are both natives of Dare
County and love to incorporate
local livelihoods and lifestyles into their
clothing brand. They love to be
interactive within the community and
promote things that better the
community and the folks who make our
area what it is. Ultimately they would
like to extend their brand to other areas
that are proud of the heritage, lifestyles
and other things that are truly LAIG.
They support what is uniquely local to
each area as they travel and support the
wonderful people who keep things
rolling. Its been easy to highlight what
we have here as far as in NENC because
of our rich history and diverse heritage.
The world class hunting, fishing, surfing
and other things that make our tight
knit communities so unique are nice to
have right here in our back yards.
