Population The city's population is 559,277 as of July 1, 2016. The metropolitan statistical area of Albuquerque has a population of 909,906. The population of Albuquerque MSA includes the city of Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, Placitas, Corrales, Los Lunas, Belen, Bosque Farms. Reliefs The Sandia Mountains Run along the eastern side of Albuquerque, and the Rio Grande flows through the city, from north to south. The Arizona-New Mexico mountains, and the southwest plateaus and the steppe ecoregions of the plains.
