| Profile NAFL-Yearbook 2018 Hamad Buamim President & CEO, Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry Hamad Buamim has been the President & CEO of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry since November 2006. He also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the World Chambers Federation-ICC in Paris. Educated in the United States, Buamim graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California - Los Angeles in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree. In 2002, he obtained an MBA with Honors in Finance from the University o f M i s s o u r i - K a n s a s C i t y. Buamim is also the Chairman of the National General Insurance (PJSC), member of the Board of Directors of the UAE Central Bank, and Dubai World. He is also the Chairman of Hawkamah, MENA Institute of Corporate Governance. Previously, Buamim served at the boards of various organizations including EmiratesNBD Bank (PJSC), Emirates Financial Services, ENBD Capital, Kerzner International, Atlantis the Palm Hotel, Union Properties (PJSC) and Network International. | NAFL-Yearbook 2018 Profile Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi CEO, Abu Dhabi Ports Vice Chairman, Arab Sea Ports Federation Board of Directors Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi has been leading the Abu Dhabi Ports—the owner, operator, developer and regulator of Abu Dhabi's maritime infrastructure and the Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD)—as its CEO since 2013. An experienced maritime executive with more than 18 years industry experience, Capt. Shamisi's strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills are well-recognized across the region and internationally. He joined the Abu Dhabi Ports in 2008 and was entrusted with key leadership positions, including overseeing the completion & the commissioning of the first phase of the company's flagship port project, the Khalifa Port, & the adjacent KIZAD, the UAE capital's first industrial freezone. As the company's CEO, he develops and directs the strategy and operations of the Abu Dhabi Ports portfolio of assets and activities, and has successfully driven its transition from a project-focused organization to fully operational, customer focused ports and industrial zones business (Kizad). Capt. Shamisi holds an MBA and Graduate Certificate of Management from the University of Tasmania, Australia and was awarded the Young Personality of the Year Award at the Seatrade Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Awards 2012. He is also currently the Chairman of the Abu D h a b i C r u i s e D e v e l o p m e n t Committee. He also holds an advanced Diploma of Applied Science (shipmaster) and was awarded the Australian Maritime College's Baird Publication Prize for Best Performance in Navigation studies and the Sheikh Rashid Award for Academic Excellence.
