Leading science and care

Leading science and care for animals Do something amazing for the AHT today, to help animals tomorrow AHT fundraising tray Put an AHT fundraising tray in your local shop or vet practice An easy way to support the AHT is by hosting a charity tray in your place of work or local shop. Our trays contain AHT pin badges and key rings at a suggested donation of £2 per item. Ideal for your local shop, pub, vets, or even your company’s reception counter – all the money raised goes straight into research to improve the health and wellbeing of dogs, cats and horses. Sign up to become a Friend of the AHT - donate £3 a month All of these monthly donations soon add up to be a fantastic contribution to the AHT’s work – knowing your monthly donation is coming helps us to better plan for the future www.aht.org.uk/friend Nominate the AHT to be your work’s chosen charity A great way to quickly get lots of people supporting you favourite animal charity is to nominate the AHT as your work’s charity of the year or beneficiary of a particular work event. Enter the AHT’s charity lottery and you could win whilst helping animals This brand new initiative for 2018 brings a little bit more excitement to your regular donation to the AHT. By signing up to be a weekly player in our charity lottery, not only are you helping to support the vital work of the AHT but you will also have the chance to win a cash prize for yourself. To enter, go to: www.aht.org.uk/lottery Run 5K, 10K or even a Marathon! Do something amazing; run for animal health. Lots of people enjoy setting themselves a challenge – no matter how big or small – by completing a sponsored run to raise funds for the AHT. There are lots of different organised runs to choose from and, if it suits them, you can always train with your dog for a bit of moral support along the way! Running the Marathon 12 AHT Life

Find out more at www.aht.org.uk Organise a sponsored dog walk or hack This is a great way to support our charity while having a good time with your friends AND your animals at the same time. If you have a horse or a dog (or both!) you could organise a sponsored hack around your favourite horse-riding spot or a sponsored dog walk in your local park, beach or village (perhaps stopping off for a nice lunch in a dog-friendly café or pub along the way). This can quickly turn into a fun annual gettogether in aid of the AHT. Consider remembering the AHT in your Will to leave a lasting legacy that will help countless animals fight disease and injury Gifts in Wills are the AHT’s life-blood. Without these donations we would cease to be effective. For more information and how to make a difference in your Will please go to page 25. Sponsored dog walk Have a car boot sale and donate the proceeds to the AHT Do you have anything cluttering up your house? Why not attend a car boot sale (or if you’re really modern, list your items on eBay!) and donate the proceeds to the AHT? Sponsored cycle ride Take on a sponsored challenge like a cycle ride Whether you can cycle 10 miles or 100, sponsored cycle challenges are becoming more and more popular among our supporters. In addition, we always have golden bond places in the RideLondon-Surrey 100, so (if you’re really brave!) you could always represent the AHT in this iconic cycling event, which follows one of the 2012 Olympic courses! Whatever you decide to do for the AHT, our dedicated Fundraising Team are here to support you with ideas, advice and fundraising packs to get you started.
